Miguel Abaroa brings a wealth of business experience, a passion for racing and a creative nature to his newest venture, Starbeast Motorsports. As CEO and Founder of Starbeast Motorsports, he entered the world of NASCAR with a team that started from scratch and is fielding the first ever driver from India. With the goal of developing international markets, Miguel challenges the status quo and brings fresh ideas to a company looking to compete with the well-established race teams in NASCAR.

Miguel is a graduate of Chemical Engineering and Administration program at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2000. He then went on obtain a Masters Degree in Taxation from Instituto de Especializacion para Ejecutivos in 2005 and a Juris Doctorate from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León Law program in 2007.

Miguel worked in the financial services industry from 2003-2009 advising companies and high net worth individuals on tax planning strategies in Mexico. He was responsible for the design and implementation of these strategies for his firm Abaroa Guerra y Asociados. He also practiced federal tax litigation.

On the entrepreneurial side, Miguel founded Desarrolladora Aurix, a company that developed land and built houses for the middle income markets in Monterrey, Mexico. He also founded a private equity real estate company specializing in land acquisition and development.

Miguel oversees family investments in a steel plant located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, a commercial private real estate fund, an Industrial Park development company, and individual real estate projects.

Although he played many sports, his true passion is definitely racing. He began racing karts at age 11 and raced in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Regional Series in the U.S. in 1997-98 and 2003 and in the Formula 3 Series in México in 1999.

Miguel was born in December 12, 1977 in Monterrey, México, is married to Monica and has two kids: Renata (3 years) and Diego (9 months). He speaks English and Spanish, and today lives in Charlotte, NC. Still an avid sportsman, Miguel enjoys playing golf, tennis, and soccer.

Ted Bullard

Prior to getting in involved in the sport of NASCAR, Ted spent most of the past decade primarily within the Wireless & Telecom Industry as a Sales and Marketing Executive, as well as a successful entrepreneur.   Serving as President & CEO of several wireless accessories, hardware & service companies, as well as a variety of franchise operations, and numerous independently owned organizations, he’s enjoyed the ability and challenges of wearing multiple hats simultaneously and thrives working and managing within a fast-paced environment.

After a dramatic slowdown in the wireless Industry towards the middle of 2008, Ted made the difficult decision to leave the Industry he knew so well to seek a new challenge.  Shortly after this transition, Ted Bullard and Starbeast Motorsports CEO Miguel Abaroa came together while both were providing consulting services for the same company, and it didn’t take long for this unlikely pair to realize they had a common vision for impacting the sport of NASCAR in a big way.  In the beginning of 2009, their vision and passion came together officially when Starbeast Motorsports was formed and history was made.

As the President & Co-Founder of Starbeast Motorsports, Ted’s experience is vast and covers literally all areas of business management and operations.  His extensive expertise in P&L management, competitor and market analysis, contract negotiations and analysis, legal compliancy, recruiting and employee management, new product roll out and distribution, and targeted and vertical marketing are among some of his most applicable strengths he brings to the SBM organization.

Ted now lives in Charlotte NC along with his wife and four children and enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, cooking, and of course, all things NASCAR.
